Our story
Hi, I’m Hasnaa.
I was raised in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, by my gramma. When I was nine, she taught me to make ma’amoul, the date-filled cookies we made together throughout my childhood.
After more than two decades as a journalist, educator and nonprofit executive, I returned to the joy I always found in baking. In 2026, that joy became It’s A Date.
Every treat is handmade in small batches with a variety of dates and quality ingredients. It carries a piece of my family’s story from my kitchen in Bensalem to your table.

Local pickup is free in Bensalem, PA. Local delivery may be available within about 50 miles for a distance-based fee.
Shelf-stable treats including ma’amoul, stuffed dates and nut butters can ship nationwide. Shipping and cooler costs are added as needed.
Selected items offer a gluten-free option. Everything is prepared in a shared kitchen, so cross-contact is possible.
